Oh So Close

On Monday 16th January Chevalion had his first race start at Nowra. One Chevalion's loyal owners Paul Knight made the trip firstly from Brisbane to watch Chavalion have is first start at Goulburn but unfortunatly he was scratched at the barrier, so this time Paul once again made the trip to Nowra via Mudgee picking his parents up to watch Chevalion run at Nowra.

After drawing a wide barrier Chevalion was forced to race three deep without any cover for the whole race, to Chevalion's credit he tried his heart out to be beaten on the line by a short half head.

"We knew that Chevalion had some ability with the plan being for us to get as long a price for the owners we could" Brian said, so with some planning to try and have Chevalion win at a long price almost came off with him paying $7.50 a place.
